Brake drum replacement standard:
One, brake when there is abnormal sound to check
The light touch of the brake was accompanied by a harsh sound of metal rubbing against metal. Check first to eliminate the brake disc when the normal running-in sound. (now many new cars and new releases will produce friction sound, if the installation state and friction state under normal occasionally sound is normal)
If the brake disc is damaged and scratches occur, it is recommended to replace the brake disc in time.
2. Check brake disc thickness by measuring tools (the most reliable method)
Measure the remaining thickness of brake disc with screw micrometer. When the total wear depth of both sides of the brake disc reaches 3mm, replace the brake disc in time.
The brake disc also needs precise dynamic balance.
3. Many models have warning lights for changing brake disc (brake disc is replaced with warning light).
When brake disc malfunction or excessive wear and tear, warning light will be on, repair and out. When the warning light is on, the brake disc has reached the limit of wear and tear, brake effect has decreased, greatly affecting the safety of driving.
