Considering the complexity of ev operating conditions and the characteristics of hub motor driving mode, the technical requirements for hub motor mainly include:

(1) Due to the limited vehicle weight and hub space, hub motor is required to have a high torque density;

(2) In order to meet the requirements of fast start, acceleration, hill climbing and frequent start and stop of the car, the hub motor should have a very wide speed range and strong anti-overload ability, and can maintain high efficiency in a wide speed and torque working area;

(3) Wheel motor should be able to withstand high temperature, low temperature, severe vibration and the influence of changeable weather, can work normally in a variety of harsh environment;

(4) In a variety of complex driving conditions, hub motor should have strong anti-interference ability and high control accuracy.
